What we publish
Retellings of documented events. Every article starts from a source, and that source is linked at the foot of the piece.
How articles are produced
Our workflow is assisted by automated research and drafting tools. A story is drafted from the source material, checked against independent references, revised, and reviewed before publication. We say this openly because readers are entitled to know how what they are reading was made.
Claims that could not be independently confirmed are marked as unconfirmed in the text. They are not asserted, and they are not quietly removed either — an unresolved question is part of the story.
Bylines
Articles carry a section editor byline. These are consistent editorial identities used across a section, not claims of individual authorship of every sentence. The publisher responsible for all content is Curio, represented by Serkan Denizbey.
Corrections
Write to [email protected] with the article link and the correction. Substantive corrections are made in the article and the modification date is updated.
Images
Cover images are licensed stock photography credited beneath the image, or public-domain material. We host every image ourselves and do not hotlink from other sites.
